'Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!

I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.

When all of the sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!

"On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi"
He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DON'T WANT SOCIALISM
IT'S JUST A LITTLE TOO LATE!!!!

Disney World Trip

Disney World was SO much fun. I didn't know that being a kid again would be so great. We went there with my parents, glad we did because my dad of course had the whole thing planned out to a science. But that way we did get to see everything, and I mean everything!

Autumn 08

We went up Poudre Canyon seeking the fiery colored leaves. There were some that weren't changing yet, but we found a great spot with the most beautiful red and orange!

Although I am somewhat in denial that it's actually almost winter, the fall leaves make the transition a little easier...

That is pretty much all I have to say about that

Rockies Game

This year we went to see the Rockies play the LA Dodgers... The Rockies didn't do so well, the Dodgers scored 7 runs in the first inning, but we still had a really fun time! It was a beautiful night and there was a colorful sunset, so even though the Rockies lost, we still enjoyed baseball food and yelling at the pitchers!

4th of July

For the 4th of July this year, we made a trip up to Cody, WY to visit my parents! It was a real good time, we went to the parade, craft fair, rodeo, and of course watched the fireworks. We of course couldn't go all the way up there without going to Yellowstone... But I will never complain, Yellowstone is just my kind of place :)
This is us trying to "swim" at the Firehole river... it was a little too cold for me, but the temp at the spot is actually about 75 degrees!

We also did a little hiking at Old Faithful, it was such a spectacular sight on top of that mountain!!

Poudre Canyon

We went up to Poudre Canyon this weekend to get out of the city for once! It was soo green and beautiful!

Matt and Apollo are always up to no good!
It looks like he is soo happy, cute!

I was really trying to keep the dog looking at the camera, but that didn't really work! He didn't know what was going on :)

It was a great trip, and not too far from home (thanks to $4.00/gallon gas) anyways... The water is soo high from a lot of spring run off, really good rafting season!

yellowstone trip

Of course we go to Yellowstone at least once a year, given that my parents live like 30 minutes away, it makes it very convenient :) So this was the trip this year, mostly the norm, buffalo, bears, wolves, moose, big horns, and elk... But seriously we had a lot of fun!

I was just saying how it would not be a Yellowstone trip if we didn't see a moose, and like 9 seconds later we saw 4 about 5 minutes before we were leaving the park :) It was great!

BBQ

So we actually had one nice day in April where we could tolerate being outside for a BBQ. Matt and I went to Longmont and celebrated my cousins birthday and had a couple drinks! It was fun, it's really nice to have family closer than 7 hours away :)

Me and my little cousin Meghan playing "washers" some kind of game from Texas that I have never heard of!
Meghan, me and my 1st cousin Michelle... It was seriously bright!

Me and Michelle trying really hard to get a shot with our eyes at least half way open...

All I can say is yay for party hats! I don't remember the last time I wore one of these!

Dinner at work

So in February we had a little get together at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver for our company. It was really ok with the free food and alcohol and everything...
These are the people I work with every single day of my life
Yeah, I was dancing, you really don't wanna see the other pictures... And really the DJ wasn't that great anyways, playing 90s hits that all the old people were getting down to... wasn't great!

Again, all the faces I get to see on a daily basis, well at least the female ones...

The Wedding!

Well, this is where it all started on August 17th, 2007. We were married at the Edwards House downtown Fort Collins, CO in the evening. Although it rained a little (we all figured it was my grandparents in Heaven letting us know they were there) it all went off with pretty good success!
There were bears and news cameras all up in our faces while we were trying to take our pictures, but I guess it just makes it even more memorable.
I was really surprised how smoothly it all went after all the hard work we all put into it! I just wish that it didn't go by so fast and seem like such a whirlwind. If I had to do it all over again, I would have taken more time to enjoy it!

We were seriously nervous about putting the rings on, my mom said that we didn't do it right, but really we were just trying to get it over with :)

Us before the wedding, yeah, the bear was seriously looking down on us from above!!

Can't forget my parents, they are the best in the world!

Our cake was not only beautiful with special ordered pieces of my dress fabric on the base, it was also the best tasting thing I have ever had!

And I guess we sealed the deal, there's no going back now, but it's not like we would...

Wow, I remember at this point I couldn't really believe this was happening! It was all a little surreal!

Of course there was actually a real baby black bear in the tree across the street from the ceremony! There were news cameras from across the state there making me soo nervous, filming me as I was taking my pictures!!!

Right after we were married, I love this pic!
